If any groups are tied for 2nd place the man with the quickest time on the atlas stones will qualify for the final.

The final is due to kick off on Friday. The information we’ve got so far:

  • The loading is relatively light (three tyres) but is on sand.
  • The overhead circus medley is apparently 2 reps of a 110kg dumbbell followed by 2 reps of a 163kg axle.
  • The squat is the giant globe, axle squat (rather than the machine) and is rumoured to be 320kg for reps.

Our thanks to Per Gunnar Roalkvam and Kevin Cronin who have been a great help in confirming the timings/scores of the athletes.

      • That’s why this sport doesn’t get the support and attention it so greatly deserves, coverage and marketing is abysmally poor. I really wish things would get better in these respects as it’s truly an awesome feat that which these competitors perform.

  2. Why are Ostland and Brant in for placing 3rd? The two 3rd place finishers with the highest points get through to the final?

    • Just previous to the Results section of this page is this quote: “In a change from previous years, it has been confirmed that the top 2 from each group qualify for the final along with the 2 3rd places with the most points.” I didn’t notice it at first either as the results drew my attention.

  3. Warrick Brant, Martin Wildauer, and Jerry qualified? wow that’s impressive congrats, the rest: no surprise, shame Lalas is not here.
