Many thought with Shaw beating Big Z on the World’s Strongest Man 2013 deadlift that it could have marked an end of an era – the end of Savickas dominating static, heavy events. Big Z was clearly out to prove everyone wrong and that he certainly did. Our congratulations go out to Zydrunas and to Shaw too who battled impressively but came up just an inch too short.
Our thanks go out to Craig Pfisterer who shared the results on the Marunde Muscle forum.
