The internet has been rife with negativity surrounding the ‘excessive’ weights in this years Arnold’s and the so called inevitable injuries. It’s certainly a shame that the likes of Poundstone were injured early on and didn’t get a chance to shine on their preferred events. With Strongman competitions getting heavier and heavier and the athletes pushing themselves harder than ever before its no surprise that we’ll see more injuries – perhaps Big Z had the right idea in skipping out the Arnolds this year to save himself for the World’s Strongest Man.

RX Muscle have a great post-win interview with Lalas that’s well worth a watch and can be found here.
