With their inaugural event this year held at an arena in Leeds, England; Europe’s Strongest Man have just launched their website and clearly mean business.

The competition is already held in high regard having attracted some of the biggest names in Strongman – Big Z, Lalas and Terry Hollands to name but three. Whats more it is associated with Giant’s Live, the promotor and host to the World’s Strongest Man qualifiers. Not bad credentials for a competition that’s only being running a year.
But it doesn’t end there. Europe’s Strongest Man isn’t just for the big guys, in 2013 they’ll be hosting three weight divisions: under 90kg, under 105kg and opens. While such structure and organisation is rife in the USA, us European’s have been flailing a little with no definitive international titles to aim for. Hopefully this competition is the mark of things to come.
Founded by Darren Sadler, an English World’s Strongest Man competitor and former winner of World’s Strongest Man under 105kg, it has the pedigree to go places and we for one hope that it becomes a staple in the Strongman calendar.
